Artist's Statement
I inherited balanced aesthetic sensibilities from my Father, a design engineer and notorious perfectionist. My Mother instilled in me a deep appreciation for Nature's beauty growing up in the Fingerlakes of New York State. These qualities, combined with the love of creating beauty and lyricism as an operatic soprano, come to life in my jewelry designs.

About Belle Pietre
Belle Pietre was born of a single necklace created in a beading shop in Chestnut Hill, PA, one summer afternoon. A friend was visiting from Europe, and, neither one of us being shy, retiring types, both made gorgeous, BIG, "statement" necklaces.
Weeks later, on a whim, I spent a day on 37th Street in New York City, the center of the Wholesale Bead Universe. Purchasing only enough materials for two more projects, I declared myself finished.
Little did I know that Belle Pietre would find it's way into artisan shops and boutiques, and would serve beautifully as yet another creative outlet for me! Loving nature - and big, bold jewelry, I've found a niche in creating wearable art.
Each piece is a "statement," but never overstated. My pieces are for the woman who is secure enough to wear unmatched jewelry; for the woman who has owned one too many "matchy-matchy" sets; and for the woman who loves to command attention. It is jewelry that speaks as boldly for itself as it does for its wearer!
